On 23 May, a wonderful day of Brigantes fundraising took place at Oakdale Golf Club, Harrogate.
At 5pm, when the golfing antics were coming to a close, we were greeted by one of our yellow helicopters and the crew. Yorkshire Air Ambulance wanted to sincerely thank Harrogate Brigantes for raising a phenomenal £22,790.30 to date.
This total has been raised from various fundraising – a fine example being the annual Santa’s Grotto in Asda. In addition, this golf day saw the total soar well above £23,000, as that evening a brilliantly entertaining auction took place … the room was full of laughter, joy and generosity. A wonderful day of fundraising indeed.
YAA sees the Club’s ongoing support as inspiring and truly life-saving. As an independent charity needing to raise £12,000 each day, it relies on such incredible local generosity and is grateful to have such kind and loyal support.
