Volleyball Training Courses in Nepal

December 3, 2019

Harrogate Brigantes have been involved with an ongoing project in the remote Panchamul Valley in Nepal, which includes ‘technology’, teaching, mircoloans and the provision of a Volleyball Court (International Friendship Court).

Major Lil Gurung of the Himalayan Gurkhas Rotary Club sponsors an annual volleyball competition on the new court, and keeps us updated about progress at Gaun Pharka Primary School, Panchamul Valley.

In October 2019, a team of coaches from the Nepalese Volleyball Association visited the school and carried out training courses, with a view to trials for the National squad in Kathmandu.
